About The Dear Sister Post 💌

About Me:

Created from my home in Ireland, The Dear Sister Post was born from a desire to bring a little more connection, encouragement and kindness into my life and the lives of other women. I am a full-time stay at home mom to my two severely autistic sons, who both require full-time care and support. Being at home so much has given me a real understanding of how meaningful a simple letter, thoughtful message or small reminder can be. I hope to make your life a little easier with my stories and advice. Your Big Sister is here to help!

By the way… You are doing a good deed with your purchase. As you are allowing me to stay home and care for my two disabled sons. You may or may not know that the EU passed a packaging bill on August 12th and it has shut down many small businesses including mine. I had to come up with something fast, and I came up with Snail mail as it could solve my isolation issue along with helping my finances.

Whether you are searching for practical advice, true sisterhood, or just a little bit of silliness, you have come to the right spot. All women are welcome here! My hope is to create a friendly and welcoming place where women can feel free to laugh, and reflect on life’s hard questions.

💌 Why Snail Mail?

In a world of social media, instant messages and endless scrolling, receiving a real letter feels different. I send many sturdy cards in my letters so that you can learn by:

Reading it slowly.

Keeping it and going back to it.

Afterwards you can get a good deed by giving it to someone else and brighten their day.

And perhaps most importantly, it reminds you that someone took the time to think about you.

If you donate a letter you are helping another woman get the information she wants but doesn’t have the funding. Your donations are for people who have Zero - Limited Funds. Some women are isolated in another country without family or friends and really love the connection a letter brings.
